About Commonwealth Research Associates

Commonwealth Research Associates (CRA) is a broad-based strategic consulting group specializing in strategic planning, government relations, business outreach, financial planning, technology innovation and legislative and legal analysis. Our typical clients are public- or private-sector groups concerned with pressing issues in transportation, real property and environment/public works matters.

CRA has been in the business of “putting it all together” since it was established in 1993.

The two principals of CRA proposed for this effort are President J. Christopher (Chris) Brady and Senior Associate Laurence E. (Larry) Blow, who have worked together continuously since early 1999, when they joined forces in the Washington, D.C. office of Transrapid International-USA, Inc. (TRI-USA). There they were the exclusive representatives for the high-speed Transrapid magnetic levitation (maglev) transportation technology system being analyzed under the federal Maglev Transportation Technology Deployment Program (MDP). During the next six years, they were solely responsible for business and technical planning of Transrapid for as many as six projects around the U.S. , including the first two phases of the Atlanta-Chattanooga maglev project. It is fair to say that Mr. Brady and Mr. Blow possess an unparalleled combination of business and technology expertise in the field of maglev transportation systems.
